Check out websites like www.realtor.ca to see latest listings by area. Also look at social media sites like Facebook. The key with Facebook is to look for group pages in the area. You will often see listings posted on these pages.
Look through newspapers and free real estate magazines in the area where you are searching for a home.
Tell your family and friends that you are looking for a new home. They might have heard of a home that is not put on the market.
Take a drive or walk around areas that you are interested in and look for "For-Sale" signs.
If you are looking for a newly built home, visit new development sites to see model floor plans.
Tip: While you are looking at homes for sale, keep good records. After looking at many homes it might be confusing to go back and compare them all. Having good records will allow you to evaluate the homes more easily.
